ODEN NAMED NAMED TOP 20 IN SPRING'S IMPACT INVESTING 2021 COMPETITION

ODEN is excited to announce they have been selected as one of the Top 20 companies in the 2021 Vancouver Impact Investor Challenge put on by Spring. ODEN will now prepare for the first pitch night held October 13th, where it will go head to head with other companies for a chance to appear in the final pitch night, where a $100,000 investment is on the line! ODEN AWARDED FUNDING FROM SFU MANAGED FUND

ODEN has been awarded funding from the William and Ada Isabelle Steel Fund, which is managed by Simon Fraser University. The fund reflects the intent of the endowment left by William and Ada Isabelle Steel for research studies into any aspect of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. This grant will allow researchers at ODEN and the Microinstrumentation Lab at SFU to investigate overdose detection further and get closer to making our device a reality. The research will begin in Fall 2021 and will be supported by Fraser Health.
ODEN PARTNERS WITH LIFEGUAD DIGITAL HEALTH

ODEN has entered a partnership with LifeGuard Digital Heath. LifeGuard is based out of Vancouver, BC and is actively working on reducing the number of deadly opioid overdoses with their suite of products offered in their smartphone app, the LifeGuard App. ODEN and LifeGuard will be working together to further the goal of saving lives and making healthcare more accessible through digital solutions.
ODEN SECURES MITACS FUNDING

ODEN has been awarded funding from Mitacs through the Entrepreneurial Accelerate program. Alex McGovern will be working within the Microinsturmnetation Lab at Simon Fraser University to complete the initial investigation into detecting opioid overdoses using wearable devices. This project will be carried out with support from Interior Health, Mitacs, and SFU.

ODEN JOINS SFU COAST CAPITAL SAVINGS VENTURE CONNECTION INCUBATOR

ODEN is thrilled to announce it has joined the Coast Capital Savings Venture Connection Incubator at Simon Fraser University. ODEN will join the many other exciting start-ups already being supported by the incubator and will receive mentoring, access to opportunities, and room for collaboration. ODEN'S FOUNDER AWARDED ENTREPRENEURIAL COOP AWARD

ODEN’s founder Alex McGovern has been awarded the E-coop award by the Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship. This award provides initial funding for start-ups and founders to pursue their goals while receiving co-op credits. This program will include mentoring from industry experts, weekly collaboration with other start-ups, and access to new and exciting learning opportunities. This program will provide the framework for ODEN’s development, and begin the path forward towards accomplishing our goal.
